Lujan defends title; cross country runners excel

MARFA, IRAAN – Marfa Shorthorn student athlete Jarett Lujan defended his District 1-1A cross country title in supreme style Monday, winning the three-mile boys race at the Iraan Golf Course by 49 seconds.

HS boys drop district opener

MARFA, VAN HORN – The Marfa Shorthorns varsity football team came off of a two-week hiatus to fall 46-28 to the Van Horn Eagles in Marfa’s district opener Friday night in the Culberson County seat.
