Chase Snodgrass, a Presidio resident, retired Border Patrol pilot, and lifelong aviator has completed construction on a kit built airplane. Fresh off a successful SXSW, New York City band Outernational is taking their music to the border. As part of thier ‘Todos somos ilegales’ tour, the band stopped in Marfa on their way to El Paso and Arizona.

Ballroom Marfa hosted musician Eleanor Friedberger for a weeklong residency and recording session in Marfa. Friedberger’s residency ended with a music performance at the Crowley Theatre last Saturday. Friedberger, who with her brother, is a member of the band The Fiery Furnaces. Opening the music performance was Josh Wise of The French Kicks.
