West Texas Film Festival returns this November

ODESSA — The West Texas Film Commission is proud to announce the 2017 West Texas Film Festival has been slated for November 8th through the 11th. This year’s festival will feature three showcases and an Educational Day.
November 8th – Cinema of Cuisine – This showcase will screen documentary and dramatic films about food including the 2009 comedy Julie & Julia.

November 9th – Tales of Texas – This showcase will screen documentary and dramatic films about Texas including the 1971 drama The Last Picture Show.

November 10th – Educational Day – Workshops on acting, directing, producing and screenwriting will be offered in the morning followed by an afternoon of student films.

November 11th – Worldview – This showcase will screen international documentary and feature films including the 2011 drama Shun Li and the Poet.

All screenings and workshops will be held on the Odessa College campus in Odessa, Texas.

We are very excited to have such a wide variety of films and showcases at this year’s West Texas Film Festival,” said Harlan Whatley, Programming Director.

Festival Passes are $40 for four days or $10 per day.
