Travel writing workshop set in Alpine
June 8th, 2017 under Community
ALPINE — Jim Glendinning, Alpine’s much travelled Scotsman, will team up with Alan Wallace, long-time teacher of English literature and writing, to launch a Travel Writing Workshop.
The workshop aims to introduce participants to the ever-growing field of travel writing, and to deliver some pointers on how to get going. Participants will learn the basics of the process and will be encouraged to participate in on-the-spot travel writing. Readings by known travel writers will be included.
Meetings will start on Thursday, June 15 at 7pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Big Bend at 1308 N. 5th Street in Alpine. There is no charge. Limit is 15 persons. Workshops will continue every two weeks for 6 weeks.
For more information call Alan Wallace at 262.865.2555 or Jim Glendinning at 832.7320.
