La Banda student concert this evening

MARFA – Today, June 8, at 7pm at the Marfa Visitor Center (USO Hall), join the La Banda student music ensemble for the final performance of their summer camp.
Teachers Manuela Martinez, Juan Tarango Martinez, David Beebe, and Primo Carrasco will be on stage performing with the students. The event will begin with a festive community potluck at 6pm. Please bring a dish, chips and salsa, an agua fresca, a sweet dessert, or anything else that would add to the feast.
Participating students in the workshop who will perform this evening include Mae Bamburg, Charlotte Browning, Lydia Bruttomesso, Ashley Certain, Fiona Clayton, Ava Dixon, Mia Dominguez, Kaleb Evan, Clegg Fowlkes, Colette Fowlkes, Amaya Gomez, Marisa Hernandez, Annalise Marquez, Dakota Martinez, Katana Melendez, Zoey Salgado, Belen Soto Torres, Lesley Torres, and Kayla Vasquez.
These students will play percussion, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, and more as well as sing and dance! All instruments bought for this and last year’s La Banda program will be kept in the band room for Marfa Shorthorns to use throughout the year.
Marfa Live Arts and Marfa Independent School District invite you to the Marfa Visitor Center (USO Hall) for the potluck at 6pm and the performance at 7pm.
