FORT DAVIS — “Build a Better World” is the theme of Jeff Davis County Library’s 2017 Summer Reading Program.
Registration began June 1. Forms are available at the library or by email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friends of the Jeff Davis County Library are donating one prize for adults and one prize for children for Summer Reading Program participants who register and turn in a reading log. A drawing will be in September.
Children from the tri-county area and visiting children are invited to participate in reading-related activities from 11am to noon most Tuesdays in June, July and August at the Jeff Davis County Library, 100 Memorial Square, in Fort Davis. The program will not meet on June 13 or July 4.
The weekly story time sessions will include art, music, and play geared to children younger than 12. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Participating adults are invited to an informal book chat with refreshments and movie screening (adapted from a book) at 2pm on June 26, July 24 and August 28.
All programs are free and open to all tri-county area residents and visitors.
