City Council meets tonight

PRESIDIO — The Presidio City Council will hold a regular council meeting at 6:30pm this evening in the Presidio Activity Center at 1200 East O’Reilly St.
Council members and Mayor John Ferguson will discuss and act on a number of items.
The city’s rates for Presidio EMS, which have remained unchanged since 2013-14, will be discussed, as will the selection of the Mayor Pro-Tem. Usually, the Mayor Pro-Tem post goes to the longest standing council member.
Also on the agenda, are items relating to the city participating in a Border Environment Cooperation Commission funded water improvement project, and the five vacancies on the City of Presidio Planning and Zoning Board, which need to be filled.
Among other items, the council will honor the work of Presidio Council Members and the Volunteer Fire department.
