Aufdengarten, Huffman marry in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH — Mitchell Ellery Aufdengarten and Austin Jessamine Huffman were united in marriage on March 11, 2017 at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth surrounded by their immediate families.
Parents of the couple are Ellery and Debbie Aufdengarten of Fort Davis and Carry and Kristi Huffman of Wheaton, MD, formerly of Fort Davis.
Grandparents are Hayes Mitchell and Marie Claire Kyle of Marfa, the late Maxine Mitchell of Marfa, Marshall and Eula Huffman of Fort Worth, the late Gerald “Spec” and Lola Aufdengarten of Arthur, NE, and the late OC and Christine Turner of Stanton. Kaelyn, daughter of the groom, stood with the couple as they recited their vows. Officiating the ceremony was Chris Powell, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Alpine.
The reception was at the Trinity Courtyard fellowship room where an assortment of pies and Blue Bell ice cream were served.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Fort Davis High School and a 2011 graduate of Texas Christian University.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Fort Davis High School and a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University. The couple will live in Alpine and Marfa, where the groom will continue a lengthy family tradition of cattle ranching.
