MARFA — Marfa Softball ruled the diamond Tuesday in a double-header against McCamey by a score of 19-0, 28-10. Serrano had 13 strikeouts in game one with only 2 walks in 7 innings and offensive players Kaci Flores, Isabella Morales, Rebecca Ontiveros, Samantha Jimenez, Nohely Ramirez, and Georgina Brugette, led the way for Marfa on the bases. The large lead allowed Marfa to work in pitchers Bella Morales and Pricilla Serrano get some much needed reps for the upcoming playoffs. The Lady Shorthorns will host Van Horn on Friday at 5:30 for the district championship. The Eagles and Shorthorns each have split the early meeting with one win apiece and now look to game three to decide the district champion.
