ALPINE – Sul Ross State University’s Office of Enrollment Management will host Sully’s Showcase Saturday, April 1. The on-campus event offers potential students and their families the opportunity to explore academic opportunities and experience campus life.
Activities begin at 8 a.m. with check-in at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The Showcase starts at 9 a.m., featuring the club and non-academic services fair on the Gallego Center mezzanine, with a 9:30 welcome from Dr. Bill Kibler, Sul Ross President.
Academic showcases will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon, and will be organized by College Deans and faculty. Each department will have the opportunity to present to students interested in that particular field of study.
After lunch with current students, campus tours will be conducted, followed by information sessions with Library, Financial Aid and Admissions staff members. Residential living tours, scheduled from 3-5 p.m., will conclude formal activities.
“Sully’s Showcase offers visitors a total campus experience and the opportunity to see what makes this university so unique,” said Patrick Clingman, director of New Student Services. “Sul Ross is one of the most affordable four-year public universities in Texas and is nationally ranked for economic value.”
“More importantly, faculty, staff and fellow students are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals,” he said. “Professors and staff get to know you as an individual and make the extra effort to help you succeed.”
