Marfa Live Arts and The Capri present Del Valle a new play by Ned Van Zandt on April 8

MARFA – Marfa Live Arts and The Capri present in cabaret-style Ned Van Zandt’s Del Valle, at The Capri event space on Saturday, April 8th. Writer and actor Ned Van Zandt is a native Texan who has appeared in dozens of film and television including: “The Blacklist,” “Lost,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Coming Home,” “MacArthur,” “One Life to Live,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” and “The Young and the Restless.”
Van Zandt’s new play Del Valle, where he portrays sixteen various characters, is based on a true story. It’s an account of a man who hits rock bottom in a Texas State prison, and it’s a tale of surviving sex, drugs, and rock and roll at the Chelsea Hotel, with Sid and Nancy.
At a time in his life when he is hopelessly lost, Van Zandt meets fellow denizens of the lower depths, who confront him with who he really is. Del Valle is a morality tale, told with a wild sense of humor, of one man’s redemption by accepting himself for the first time, faults and all.
Directed by Chris Bauer, this is a free performance but to reserve a table with a special menu and drinks through The Capri restaurant and bar, email: Cate Cole Schrim, firstname.lastname@example.org.
