No Ban No Wall march planned for February 25

PRESIDIO — Area residents have planned a march through Presidio against immigration bans and border walls.
Beginning at 11am Saturday, February 25 at the Presidio flags and sign – the intersection of Highway 67 and Erma Avenue – demonstrators will march toward the international bridge and through downtown Presidio. The march is in conjunction with a larger No Ban No Wall march planned in Austin for the same day.
Last year, a similar march to the middle of the Presidio-Ojinaga international bridge attracted dozens of people from across the Big Bend and from Ojinaga. This time, the march will stay in the United States and will culminate at Presidio City Hall.
“We will join together as a community and in peace and friendship to show solidarity against the immigrant ban and the proposed wall in the Big Bend!” march organizer Laurie Holman wrote in a statement. “Join us, all are welcome!”
