Union Pacific freight train derailment closes portion of I-10

CULBERTSON COUNTY – A Union Pacific cargo train derailed this morning near Kent in Culberson County, prompting the closure of Interstate 10 near the site of the derailment.

According to Union Pacific spokesman Jeff DeGraff, the derailment occurred at about 7:30am.
