NOTICE OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARFA

 

Notice is hereby given that a REGULAR MEETING of the City Council of Marfa will be held on the 28th day of July 2016, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall of Marfa, located at 113 S. Highland Street, Marfa, Texas.

 

Open to the Public: The meeting will be open to the public at all times during which such subjects are discussed, considered or formally acted upon as required by Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Government Code. This Notice of Meeting and Agenda in detail was posted at least 72 hours prior to the beginning of said meeting in a location at City Hall readily accessible to the public at all times and at a place readily accessible to the public at all times at the meeting location.

 

 

I.     Call To Order and Establish Quorum

III.     Citizen Comment Period:

At this time, any person may address the Council for a limited time concerning any item not on the agenda and should be limited for a period of three minutes. The Council is not allowed to take action on any subject presented, nor is the Council required to provide any response.

Citizens’ comments may also be invited on any posted agenda item prior to a motion being made for the Council to discuss the item and should be limited to a period of three minutes.

       Tax Rate and Proposed Tax rate.

the Marfa Activity Building Gym for Zumba Classes.

 

  1. Discussion with action as appropriate concerning proposed 2015/2016 Budget

Amendment.

West Texas Gas natural gas supply contract.

 

  1. Discussion with action as appropriate concerning proposed copy machine

contract.

 

  1. Discussion with action as appropriate concerning proposals for concrete work

for the Convention Center outdoor project.

  1. Discussion with action as appropriate to schedule Public Hearing, Meetings

and Workshops concerning the 2016/2017 Budget and proposed tax

rate.

 

  1. Convene into executive session pursuant to Texas Government Code
  • 551.074 (personal matters) to deliberate the employment duties and contract

terms of an employee of the City of Marfa, to wit, City Administrator James R.

Mustard, Jr.; reconvene into open session to take action as appropriate.
