Teda Neill 100th birthday celebration, Friday and Saturday

FORT DAVIS, OJINAGA, Chih., Mex. – The family of Teda Neill will host a come-and-go reception in honor of her 100th birthday from 1-3pm Saturday at her former home, the Trueheart-Neill house in west Fort Davis.

Teda Neill works on a dollhouse.

The Trueheart-Neill house not only was Neill’s home but also her dollhouse museum that exhibited her collection of hundreds of dolls.

She lived in Fort Davis for many years before moving to Carlsbad, New Mexico to be near her son and daughter-in-law.

To this day, she is the front-and center-supporter of Casa Hogar, a much-needed orphanage in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.

They’re throwing a birthday party for her from 11am-2pm Friday. The invitation reminds partygoers to “bring your passport.”
