Shaugnessy crewel workshop at Wild Woolies Saturday

MARFA – Katherine Shaugnessy will hold a crewel embroidery workshop at Wild Woolies on Saturday.

She has just published her second book, New Crewel: The Motif Collection, and has just returned to Marfa from a book tour.

She will be hauling in a trunk load of her unique crewel works and autographed copies of her latest book.

Participants will learn the basics of crewel embroidery including a little history, explanation of materials, finishing techniques and pattern transfer tricks.

Participants will be provided with all the supplies needed to start.

Shaughnessy’s wool and hoop kits, supplies and books will be available for sale.

The workshop will be held from 10am to noon. Cost is $45 and space is limited.
