CBP officers nab Odessa man sought on child sex charges

PRESIDIO – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers working at the Presidio port of entry apprehended a man being sought in Ector County. CBP officers arrested 62-year-old Andres Reyes on July 20.

The apprehension was made at approximately 8:20 am when Reyes entered the port of entry from Mexico as a pedestrian. A CBP officer working the primary inspection station interviewed Reyes and queried his name. The CBP officer was notified that there was an active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant for Reyes. He was being sought by Ector County officials on indecency with a child and child fondling charges. Reyes was taken into custody. CBP officers confirmed the warrant information. Reyes was turned over to the Presidio police department.
