Sanchez

Alpine native Frank G. “Pancho” Sanchez, 90, died January 6, 2012 at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Richmond, California after a brief illness.

Graveside service with full military honors is 2pm Saturday, February 11 in Alpine’s Holy Angels Cemetery.

He was born November 7, 1921 in Alpine to Francisca Gallego Sanchez and Francisco T. Sanchez and attended Alpine public schools.

Mr. Sanchez served in the U.S. Army in World War II. In 1946, he moved to San Francisco, California where he lived most of his life.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Sanchez of Dilley, Texas and formerly of Alpine; a nephew, Fidel “Sonny” Cano; and a niece, Margaret C. “Sister” Moreno, both of Alpine.
