Renteria

Luis B Renteria, 59, of El Paso and formerly of Marathon, passed away Sunday January 22, 2012 in Alpine after a brief illness.

He was born January 8, 1953 in Marathon. He was a retired U.S. Border Patrol agent, serving the agency with distinction for 28 years, and was stationed at Ysleta and Fort Hancock.

He most recently was a driver for Wackenhut and was based in Marfa.

Survivors include his first wife, Priscilla Acosta Renteria of El Paso and formerly of Marfa; a daughter, Sonia Renteria of El Paso; a son, Luis Fernando Renteria of Austin; his loving wife, Blanca Renteria of El Paso; a stepson, Luis Carbajal of Phoenix, Arizona; a step-daughter, Natalia Gomez of Dallas; and grandchildren Alyssa Navarrette, Raul Gomez, and Adainez Carbajal.

Visitation and a prayer service were Wednesday, January 25 at Crestview Funeral Home in El Paso. Funeral service was the morning of Thursday, January 26 in the Crestview Chapel. Cremation followed.

Arrangements are by Crestview Funeral Home of El Paso.
