Ontiveroz on all-state football team

MARFA – Student athlete Andrew Ontiveroz of Marfa has been named honorable mention on the Class A Texas all-state football team picked by Texas Sportswriter’s Association.

Ontiveroz, a 6’3”, 205-pound senior, was selected at tight end.

Ontiveroz is also a standout on the Shorthorns basketball team, who just scored 40 points in two games with the Fort Hancock Mustangs.

He is the son of Sarah and Glenn Ontiveroz of Marfa.
