Marfa Elementary School students put on a science fair
MARFA – Since December 2, Marfa Elementary School students in third through sixth grades have been investigating something of interest in the field of science. Each student chose a topic and conducted a scientific experiment for the Science Fair competition.

Judges were secured who have expertise in the field of science from Sul Ross State University, Dirks-Anderson Elementary School in Fort Davis, and Marfa High School.
Students were on hand to answer questions about their project boards and experiments to the judges from 9am to noon on Tuesday.
Marfa Public Radio interviewed the first-place winners during the afternoon while students from all grade levels visited the Science Fair.
Even PreK students enjoyed a lesson about electrical circuits at the Science Fair. The Science Fair ended with an Open House on Tuesday evening for the community to see the students’ hard work.
Many thanks go to those in the community who helped make this a successful experience.
