Library Talk – MPL catalog now online

Attention Marfa: the library’s catalog is now available online! This means our patrons can search our catalog from home, or from anywhere with internet access. Simply go to our library website: www.marfapubliclibrary.org where you will see the link to the library catalog in the sidebar menu. If an item you’ve searched for is not available you will be able to request a hold on the item. Don’t hesitate to call us if you need assistance using the online catalog. We’re really excited about providing this new service, and we think you will be too. This is the second time we’ve rolled this out, but this time it’s here to stay. Try it out!
We’re still busy acquiring lots of new books; you should see all the new biographies for kids. Stunning new picture books have been coming in as well, some of them award-winners. For adults, you’ll find an assortment of new non-fiction on homey topics like baking, knitting, sewing, and cooking. Thanks to Maggie, you’ll always find new titles by the best-selling authors. Ryan has been busy making sure we have classics such as “Slaughterhouse Five”, “Crime and Punishment”, “Lord Jim” and more. There’s something for everybody here at the library.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Show us you love us by returning overdue books you might have lying around! And to prove that WE have a heart, we’ll waive fines under $5.00 for the week of Valentine’s!
