Law enforcement forum Tuesday in Marfa

UPDATE: The forum will now be held at the Presidio County Courthouse at 1:30 pm Tuesday, February 7.

MARFA – Residents of Presidio, Jeff Davis and Brewster counties are invited to a law enforcement forum at 1:30pm Tuesday, February 7 at the USO building in Marfa.

Hosted by state Sen. Jose Rodriguez, D-El Paso, and sheriffs Danny Dominguez of Presidio County, Rick McIvor of Jeff Davis County, and Ronny Dodson of Brewster County, the forum’s purpose is for area residents to express their concerns to the elected officials regarding law enforcement in the three border counties, said Rod Ponton, one of the forum organizers.

Also, all area candidates for public office are invited to meet Rodriguez and the sheriffs to discuss their law enforcement views with them and the public.
