Lady Horns cause disharmony for El Paso team
MARFA – Lady Shorthorns Jenna Conners and Myra Leos combined for 23 points to lead Team Marfa to a 46-29 district win over El Paso Harmony on Friday, assuring the Purple & White an appearance in post-season play.
Marfa kept an almost double-digit lead throughout the game, advancing 5-2 after one period of play, taking a 16-8 lead at the half, and posting a 36-16 advantage after three play periods.

Conners accounted for 12 points and Leos had 11, with fellow teammates Dacia O’Donnell with eight, Latisha Pippen with six, Amy Hernandez with three, and two points each by Yasmin Guevara and Monique Marquez.
The Lady Horns travel to Fort Hancock on Friday for a final district and regular season game, but win or lose, Marfa’s in the playoffs with a 5-2 district record.
Game time is 6:30pm central time.
Her likely opponent will be the McCamey Badgers at a time, date and place to be decided.
