Presidio High School seniors graduate Saturday

PRESIDIO – Presidio High School graduation exercises take place at 8pm Saturday at Manuel O. Hernandez stadium. The community is welcome to attend the ceremony.

Valedictorian for the class of 2011 is Fidel H. Baeza. The son of Fidel and Raquel Baeza, Fidel earned a 3.51 grade point average. He will attend the University of Texas at El Paso to study engineering.

Class salutatorian is Jaime S. Garcia, who is the son of Richard and Rosa Newell. Jaime maintained a 3.47 grade point average in school. He plans to study math at the University of Texas at El Paso and will enroll there in ROTC.

Speaking at the event is Dr. Troy Simmons, the 2001 president of the Texas Association of School Boards. Former Big Bend Congressman Ciro Rodriguez will be a special guest.

Congratulations to all the PHS graduates of 2011 and best of luck in your future endeavors!
