Alpine Chamber of Commerce Executive Director J.R. Smith donates $500 to the Marfa Volunteer Fire Department. Marfa Fire Chief Gary Mitschke accepted the check on behalf of the fire department. The Alpine Chamber made similar donations to the the Fort Davis and Alpine Volunteer Fire Departments in light of all the hard work they have done so far this fire season.
